Claudette Sariya

Why I’m Running:
I've lived in NYC for nine years and there's no place like it. Since being here, I've been able to find and pursue my passion in fitness, leading me to launch two run clubs and to start my own business as a fitness coach and personal trainer. New York gave me the chance to combine my love for training with helping people feel empowered in and out of the gym. Running for a better and safer city means that I can give back to my community and help provide others with room to explore their potential, whether that's in their personal lives, academics, career, or athleticism.

Why I’m Running:
Running for Reisenbach Philanthropies inspires me because every mile supports real change in New York City. Knowing my effort helps strengthen community organizations and expand access to opportunity gives my training deeper purpose and keeps me energized beyond race day. Running for a better and safer city means using movement as a way to give back to the community that shapes me every day. It’s about showing up with purpose, supporting initiatives that create opportunity and safety, and believing that each mile can help make New York stronger for everyone.

Why I’m Running:
New York is the place that I was born and raised in. New York culture runs through my veins, and I love this place with all my heart. Running for a better and safer city means everything to me. No one should have to lose someone to violence. A safer city is a better city.

JUNIOR BOARD CO-CHAIR, REISENBACH PHILANTHROPIES | J.P. Morgan

Why I’m Running:
New York is home! It's a humbling opportunity to give back to a city (and an organization) that means so much to me! Reisenbach Philanthropies supports NYC nonprofits holistically, amplifying grassroots community work happening across the five boroughs. The organization has ambitious goals! Hopefully, setting this big half-marathon goal for myself will inspire more people in my circle to consider their own goals for supporting their NYC neighbors - and that they will keep Reisenbach Philanthropies top of mind.
Reisenbach Philanthropies has been such a strong part of my New York City experience. When I moved back to NYC after college, I worked at a youth services nonprofit that was a grantee of the organization. To stay connected after a career change, I joined the Junior Board, hoping to continue to play a small role in the way Reisenbach Philanthropies positively impacts every corner of the city. Not limited by borough or specific target population, Reisenbach Philanthropies has a unique ability and nimbleness to truly address needs across the city. Through the ever-changing landscape of NYC over the last 35 years, and especially in the unprecedented times of the global pandemic, Reisenbach Philanthropies has made NYC a better and safer place.

Adam Brodner

Why I’m Running:
I have lived and worked in NYC for 20 years, so this is my home. The success and development of residents and neighbors who are part of this community and contribute to its growth is paramount, and important to me personally. What energizes me about running for Reisenbach is the chance to make a tangible impact on New York's continued growth and success, especially through an organization committed to strengthening the city and its communities. Add running to that, even better.
